Massachusetts Trial Court - Probate Division

The Legislature has passed a  bill to delay  the implementation date of the Massachusetts Uniform Probate Code from January 2, 2012 until March 31, 2012. The governor has indicated that he will sign the legislation on December 30, 2011 so that the delay will take effect immediately. I am posting relevant documents below to provide information on the effect of the delay. Included are a press release, Amended Standing Order 5-11 and Revised Supplemental Notice Form (MPC 591) with updated Instructions (MPC 938). The documents are also available at the Register's Office at the Brockton and Plymouth courthouses as well as at  the Trial Court website as reflected in the press release. The entire staff of the Plymouth Probate and Family Court will appreciate your continued consideration and cooperation as we deal with the delay and then the implementation of the MUPC.

Thank You.
